Liberty defender Tim Harbison has been selected to the 2014 Big South All-Tournament team, this afternoon. The team was named after the conclusion of the Big South Men's Soccer Championship game.
Harbison made the 56th consecutive start of his career, assisting on Liberty's lone goal in their Big South quarterfinal match at Winthrop, Tuesday. He also had shot in the contest, as the Flames were eliminated from the tournamet by the Eagles, 4-1.
Harbison started all 18 games for the Flames (11-6-1, 6-3), this season. He finished second on the Flames with four goals and one assist for nine points. He also tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals in 2014. In addition, the Auburn, Ala., native had one of two multi-goal games by a Flame this season, when he netted two markers in a 5-0 win over VMI on Sept. 2.
Playing as a center defender, Harbison was part of a defense which has allowed 1.27 goals per game and recorded six shutouts.
