The Liberty men's soccer team will host the Campbell Camels at Osborne Stadium, Wednesday evening. Match time is scheduled for 5 p.m. The match is one of two home contests for the Flames this week, as they finish out the 2014 regular season. Liberty is among several teams still vying for one of the four top spots in the Big South standings. The Big South Men's Soccer Championship gets underway with the top four teams in the league's standings hosting quarterfinal games, next Tuesday. Liberty (9-5-1, 4-3) enters the match having won three straight conference matches and four of their last five contests overall. Meanwhile, Campbell (5-10, 2-5) has dropped their last two matches, falling at home to High Point and Winthrop.

A Look at Liberty After defeating Presbyterian, 1-0, in their final road game of the regular season, the Flames (9-5-1, 4-3) will enter Wednesday's contest having won three straight Big South matches. Ernest Siaw scored his second goal of the season late in the first half and the Flames' defense shut down the Presbyterian attack to record its fifth shutout of the season in the victory. Goalkeeper Scott Sutarik made five saves in posting his 21st career shutout. The clean sheet tied him for second on Liberty's all-time list with George Nimo (1987-90). The senior keeper has posted 0.98 goals-against average and .763 save percentage in 14 games this season. Last Tuesday, Sutarik was named the Big South Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in 2014. Junior Sachem Wilson leads the Flames with six goals and 12 points. Midfielder Tim Harbison is second with three goals, while Siaw, Jovanni Chavez, Jamie Foxwell, Bay Kurtz, Khalil Karl and Blessing Tahuona have scored two goals apiece. The Flames have now had 11 different players score a goal this season. Defender Conner Fleming, Alan Arellano and Kurtz lead Liberty with three assists each. Liberty alumnus Jeff Alder is in his 14th season at the helm of the Flames. Liberty has posted a 136-97-23 mark during his tenure.
A Look at Campbell Wednesday's contest will be the last regular season road game for Campbell (5-10, 2-5). The Camels will be looking to get back on track in conference play after dropping back-to-back contests to Big South opponents High Point and Winthrop at home. Bradley Farias leads the Camels and is second in the conference with nine goals. He has scored half of Campbell's 18 goals this season. Goalkeeper Matthew Mozynski has started every game this season for the Camels. He has posted a 2.00 goals-against average and a .741 save percentage. Head Coach Steve Armas is in his fifth year at Campbell. He has led the Camels to a 37-43-12 record during his tenure.
A Look Ahead Liberty finishes its regular season schedule, Saturday. The Flames will host the High Point Panthers at Osborne Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. Later in the day, the conference will announce the seeding for the 2014 Big South Men's Soccer Championship and the location of next Tuesday's quarterfinal contests.
