Lacrosse Releases 2015 Schedule

2015 Lacrosse Schedule

Second-year head coach Kelly Nangle has released the Liberty Lady Flames' 2015 lacrosse schedule. Highlighting the Lady Flames' schedule are home contests against Virginia Tech and Navy, in addition to a home contest against defending Big South champion High Point.

"We are excited to announce our schedule for the upcoming season," commented Nangle. "Our non-conference schedule is loaded with high caliber teams that are going to challenge us and prepare us for conference play. The Big South Conference is getting better every year and we are really excited to get going and make our mark."

Entering its third season of play in the Big South, Liberty will play seven league games and 10 non-conference contests. The Lady Flames will play eight games at Liberty Lacrosse Field and nine road tilts, including a trip to California to take on USC and San Diego State.

Liberty opens the season with a five-game homestand, beginning on Feb. 6 against ACC opponent Virginia Tech. The Lady Flames will then host the Navy Midshipmen on Feb. 13. The home stretch ends on Feb. 28 when the Richmond Spiders come to Lynchburg.

Liberty then begins a five-game road stretch, starting on March 9 against USC. The Lady Flames will not return home until April 4 when they begin Big South play, hosting Campbell at Liberty Lacrosse Field.

Four of the final five games will be played away from home, beginning with an April 10 showdown against Gardner-Webb. The final home game of the regular season will be April 17 when the Lady Flames host defending Big South champion High Point.

The Lady Flames close out the regular season with a pair of Big South road contests. On April 19, Liberty will travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to take on Winthrop before closing out the regular season on April 24 in Farmville, Va. against Longwood.

The 2015 Big South Lacrosse Championship will begin on April 29 and conclude on May 3. The No.1 seed for the tournament will serve as the host for both the semifinals and the title game.
