Following a fourth-place finish at the Pinetree Intercollegiate earlier this week, Liberty's Isaiah Logue has been named the Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week.
Logue led the Flames at their final event of the fall season, posting a 4-under par 212 (73-72-68) on the Pinetree Country Club (par 72, 7,108 yards) out of 64 golfers.
The freshman closed the event with back-to-back under-par rounds, the first two of his young collegiate career.
His 4-under par 68 during the final round helped the Flames climb up the leaderboard and finished the event in second place.
As a team, Liberty posted a 6-under par 282 during the final round of the Kennesaw State hosted event, the Flames' best 18-hole total since last March.
Following Liberty's four-event fall schedule, Logue ranks second on the roster with a 75.00 stroke average.
Logue is the second Flame to be honored this fall. On Oct. 3, Mathieu Fenasse was named Big South Men's Golfer of the Week following a fifth-place finish at the Shoal Creek Invitational.
Logue and the Flames will return to action when they open their spring schedule at the Sea Best Invitational on Feb. 2 at the TPC Sawgrass - Valley Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
