The Flames saw their three-game winning streak come to an end in a 38-19 setback at Indiana State on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute, Ind.
Indiana State outscored the Flames 21-10 during the second quarter and held a 245-101 total offensive yards advantage and a 9:55 to 5:05 time of possession edge during the decisive period.
Quarterback Josh Woodrum had his third-straight 300-yard passing game (308), completing 26-of-45 passing attempts and two touchdowns. The junior finished the game with two interceptions, his second game this year with two interceptions.
Wide receiver Darrin Peterson posted his third-straight 100-yard game, leading all receivers with a career-high 12 receptions for 116 yards and a score. Dante Shells followed with three catches for 96 yards, including a career-long 71-yard touchdown reception.
Cornerback Wesley Scott led all tacklers in the game with 11 stops, followed by eight tackles apiece for free safety Jacob Hagen, cornerback Kenny Scott and linebacker Nick Newman.
