The Liberty Lady Flames tennis squad concluded the 2014 Colorado Invitational with a pair of singles wins for Brittany Yang and Belen Rivera on Sunday. Yang notched the first singles victory for the Lady Flames on the day. Yang won the singles final victory in the Ralphie Draw, defeating Arkansas's Peyton Jennings 6-4, 6-1. The straight-sets victory marked Yang second flight win of the fall season. Rivera edged New Mexico's Rachana Bhat 7-5, 6-3 for the finals victory in the silver draw. Rivera has now won two flight titles this fall, one singles and one doubles. Overall the Lady Flames won two of the four singles flights, and won six matches in the doubles round robin at this weekend's tournament. "Brit and Belen did a great job of finding a way to win, despite not playing at their best," said Liberty Head Coach Jeff Maren. "I'm very proud of all of our girls for competing hard throughout the week." The Lady Flames return to action on Friday when they travel to Blacksburg, Va., to take part in the Hokie Fall Invite. Liberty competed in the Hokie Fall Invite last season, where Yang stole the show, posting a perfect 4-0 singles record en route to the Flight C title.
