Katy Pridemore, a freshman on the Liberty Lady Flames lacrosse team, was nationally recognized by the ILWomen website. Pridemore was listed No. 18 on the ILWomen Top 30 Incoming Freshman Rankings for the upcoming 2015 season and is the lone Big South player to be recognized in the rankings. Pridemore was a highly sought-after senior while at Vero Beach High School in Florida. Pridemore came to join the Lady Flames after de-committing from Florida and will play in the upcoming 2015 season. In her last two seasons at Vero Beach, Pridemore recorded 164 goals, 85 assists, 95 ground balls and 71 draw controls while leading the Fighting Indians to three straight State Championship. Pridemore is a three-time U.S. Lacrosse All-American as well as a two-time Florida Dairy Farmer's Miss Lacrosse Player of the Year. Pridemore also captured the Scripps Treasure Coast News Florida Player of the Year honor in her final two seasons at Vera Beach. Pridemore also competed at the U.S. Lacrosse All-America Showcase and was selected to play for the FCA national team. In Pridemore's senior season she was recognized as the 2014 U.S. Lacrosse Magazine South Player of the Year.
Pridemore was also capable of performing off the field, twice being named a U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American.
