The Liberty Lady Flames women's tennis team wrapped up the second day of play at the Elon Invitational on Saturday. The start was delayed five hours due to inclement weather, however that would not alter the on-court results for the Lady Flames. Liberty finished strong, winning four of six singles matches and three of the four doubles matches. Three of the four singles matches were won in tiebreaks, including matches won by freshman Evangeline Crist and sophomore Maria Khval. Following the conclusion of today's events, the Lady Flames push their overall record to 25-6 during their first fall tournament. "I am very happy with the way our girls have played during pressure points this weekend," commented Liberty Head Coach Jeff Maren. "We've won quite a few third set tiebreaks, and that shows that we have improved our focus and ability to execute under pressure." The Lady Flames will conclude the Elon Invitational tomorrow as Liberty will be in four of the five singles flights finals, as well as, three of the four doubles flights finals.
