LibertyFlames.com continues its recap coverage of 2014 Big South Football Media Day, featuring today an interview between LFSN's Nick Pierce and defensive lineman Dominique Davis.
During the spring, Davis was voted one of four team captains for the upcoming 2014 season, along with quarterback Josh Woodrum, offensive lineman Jonathan Burgess and safety Jacob Hagen.
Davis saw the most significant playing time of his career in 2013, playing in 11 of 12 games and starting his first career game against Coastal Carolina. He finished the year with six tackles, including four solo stops.
Davis was a part of Liberty's defensive unit that finished the year ranked No. 5 in the country in scoring defense (17.6 points per game allowed), No. 3 red zone defense (66.7 percent), No. 9 in total defense (313.9 yards allowed per game) and No. 3 in turnover margin (1.3).
