Liberty redshirt sophomore post player Ashley Rininger added to an already impressive resume on Tuesday, earning a spot on the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) 2013-14 University Division All-State Women's Basketball second team.

Rininger was previously named a first team All-Big South honoree, the Big South Scholar-Athlete of the year and a Richmond Times-Dispatch second team all-state performer. The Canton, Ohio native also garnered a trio of Big South Player of the Week honors (Dec. 2, Dec. 23 and Feb. 24) and made the Seton Hall Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team.

Rininger finished with 16 double-doubles on the season, breaking Megan Frazee's program sophomore class record and tying for 24th place nationally. She also ranked 35th in the nation with her .542 field goal percentage.

Among Big South players, Rininger finished second in field goal percentage, fourth in rebounding (9.0 rpg), sixth in blocked shots (1.4 bpg) and seventh in both scoring (14.7 ppg) and free throw percentage (.750).

Rininger helped the Lady Flames record their seventh consecutive 20-win season, as Liberty finished 20-11 overall and 15-5 in Big South action. The Lady Flames advanced to the Big South Championship semifinals for the 18th straight year.

James Madison and Hampton, the Commonwealth's two representatives in the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship, garnered the three major awards. JMU's Kirby Burkholder was voted VaSID Player of the Year, while her coach, Kenny Brooks, was tabbed VaSID Coach of the Year. Malia Tate-DeFreitas of Hampton was honored as VaSID Rookie of the Year.
