After a strong 2013 campaign, pitcher Trey Lambert returns for his senior season with the Flames. This season, Lambert is expected to be one of the anchors of the Liberty pitching staff and was selected a team captain by his teammates.
Last season, Lambert posted an 8-3 record with a 3.54 ERA over 89 innings in 15 starts. The right-hander tied for third in the Big South and led Liberty in wins. Three of his wins came against nationally-ranked South Carolina and Clemson and perennial SEC contender Georgia. In addition, Lambert led the Flames in innings pitched and complete games with three.
LSFN's Nick Pierce talked with the senior this past week about the upcoming season.
