Liberty captains Amber Nichols and Chloe McIntosh have been named to the Big South Conference Lacrosse All-Tournament team. The announcement was made following the conclusion of Sunday afternoon's title game between Davidson and High Point at Richardson Stadium.
In Friday's semifinal game versus No. 1 seed Davidson, Nichols recorded a team-high three goals for the Lady Flames. It was the senior's second career hat trick, with the first coming earlier this season on April 14 at Winthrop. Nichols also added three draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover. Nichols' three draw controls matched her career high.
McIntosh followed up her Big South second team all-conference and All-Academic team awards on Thursday night with the first all-tournament team honor of her career. The redshirt senior tallied a pair of ground balls and a caused turnover against Davidson.
Liberty concluded the season with an 8-10 overall record, including a 4-3 mark in Big South contests. The eight wins set a new single-season program record, besting the 2011 mark of seven victories.
