The Liberty Lady Flames lacrosse team travels to Fairfax, Va., on Wednesday to face George Mason for a 2 p.m. contest at George Mason Stadium. Liberty will look to bounce back from back-to-back losses last week and collect a win before beginning Big South conference play on March 30 versus Davidson.

A Look at Liberty Liberty takes an even 4-4 overall record into tomorrow's contest. The Lady Flames fell on the road to Cincinnati last Thursday, 7-3, snapping their three-game winning streak. Liberty returned to Lynchburg on Saturday and lost to Robert Morris, 9-6.
Against Robert Morris, Sam Struss set Liberty's single-season assist record with her 16th helper on a goal by Kacie Fogle with 15 seconds left in the contest. Struss leads Liberty with 26 overall points this year (10 goals, 16 assists). Freshman Kallie Britton is second on the squad with 21 points (12 goals, 9 assists). Nina Dunay's 14 goals rank first on the squad, while Morgan Becker is right behind her with 13 tallies. Overall, the Lady Flames have scored 84 goals, notching assists on 49 of those goals.
Jen Freymond leads the Lady Flames in ground balls (24), draw controls (26) and is tied for first with Dunay in caused turnovers (13). As a team, Liberty has been strong on the draw, securing 24 more draw controls (96-72) than its opponents. The Lady Flames are ranked 10th in the country in ground balls per game with 19.63.
Kristen Masullo has started seven out of eight games so far this season in between the pipes for Liberty. The junior has surrendered an 8.65 goals against average. Masullo holds a national-best save percentage of .535, notching 69 saves, while allowing 60 goals.

A Look at George Mason The Patriots open up a five-game home stand tomorrow, when the Lady Flames visit George Mason Stadium. George Mason is 3-4 overall and 2-1 at home. The Patriots split a pair of road games last week, falling to Albany 17-5, before pulling out a tight contest at Marist, 10-9.
Rachel Obregon tops the squad with 16 goals, while Allie Hilderbrandt is second with 14 scores. As a team, George Mason has scored 66 goals, but only 12 of them have been assisted.
Goalie Brittany Pastrana paces the Patriots with 20 ground balls and is ranked 11th in the nation with 3.33 ground balls per game. Pastrana also leads the team in caused turnovers with nine, while Caitlin Formato has a team-best 17 draw controls.
Pastrana has a .411 save percentage, surrendering 53 goals, while making 37 saves.
Looking Ahead Liberty will have a 10 day break, before its next contest on March 30 against Davidson at the Liberty Lacrosse Field. The Lady Flames' Big South opener is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. and kicks off a string of five games in nine days.
