Liberty Women's Basketball Alumni Off to Hot Start in 2007 WNBA Season

Just two weeks into the 2007 WNBA season, a pair of former members of the Liberty women's basketball program are part of first-place teams. 2005 graduate Katie Feenstra is playing for the 3-0 Detroit Shock, and former Lady Flame assistant coach Olaf Lange is now employed by the 3-1 San Antonio Silver Stars.

Quartet to Represent Liberty Track & Field in Sacramento

For the first time in school history, Liberty will send four male student-athletes to the NCAA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships, to be held June 6-9 in Sacramento, Calif. Jon Hart, Clendon Henderson, Brandon Hoskins and Josh McDougal will all represent the Flames at the meet.

No. 1 Seed Coastal Carolina Records One-Run Victory over No. 3 Seed Liberty in Big South Championship Game

A pair of two-run innings, the sixth and seventh, helped the top-seeded Coastal Carolina Chanticleers erase an early deficit and record a 6-5 victory over No. 3 Liberty Flames in the title game of the Big South Baseball Championship, Saturday afternoon, at the Winthrop Ballpark.
