The Game
Liberty (17-8, 11-1 Big South) will open its last road trip of the regular season with its final visit to Coastal Carolina’s (9-16, 3-10 Big South) Kimbel Arena, Saturday at 2 p.m. The Chanticleers will open a new basketball arena for the 2011-12 season. Liberty will seek its ninth straight win overall, its 15th straight triumph inside Kimbel Arena and its 35th straight victory over Coastal Carolina. A triumph by the Lady Flames paired with a Radford loss at Charleston Southern on Saturday would clinch the No. 1 seed for the Big South Women’s Basketball Championship.

Magic Number
Liberty is getting close to clinching the No. 1 seed for the Big South Women’s Basketball Championship for the 12th time in the last 14 seasons. Only Gardner-Webb and Radford can still catch the Lady Flames.

Liberty’s magic number (Liberty wins + Gardner-Webb losses) is one in order to eliminate Gardner-Webb from contention.

Meanwhile, the Lady Flames’ magic number (Liberty wins + Radford losses) is two in order to eliminate the Highlanders.

So, Liberty could wrap up the No. 1 seed Saturday if the Lady Flames win at Coastal Carolina and Radford loses at Charleston Southern.
