• Moved up to No. 6 on the Liberty all-time javelin performance list with his IC4A effort

• Graduated from Hempfield High School
• Won the high school boys' javelin title at the 2011 Penn Relays with a personal-best mark of 211-5
• That throw ranked him No. 7 nationally on the 2011 high school boys' javelin list
• Placed third in the javelin at the 2011 Pennsylvania AAA state meet, helping Hempfield win the state team championship
• As a sophomore in 2009, finished sixth in the Pennsylvania AAA javelin competition, contributing to another state team title
