Liberty Head Football Coach Turner Gill has signed Cody Gochenouer, a transfer from American River College, to a national letter of intent with the offensive lineman set to join the program in January.

"Cody is a big offensive lineman, who is physical and athletic," commented Gill about the 6-4, 275-pound addition to his team. "We look forward to him joining our team this spring."

Gochenouer comes to Liberty from American River College in Sacramento, Calif., where he helped the Beavers to an 8-3 record and a runner-up finish in the Northern California Football Association.

American River finished the season ranked No. 2 in the Northern California Football Association in points per game (39.7) and total offensive yards per game (483.5), while leading the league by rushing for 234.9 yards per contest. The Beavers also tied for the league lead with 30 rushing touchdowns.

Gochenouer started his collegiate career at Solano Community College where he helped the Falcons win their second-straight conference title in 2011 before the program was disbanded. Gochenouer was an All-Bay Valley Conference honoree in 2011.

Gochenouer is a graduate of Napa High School in Napa, Calif., where he was named All-League and All-Napa County tackle in 2010.
