As the Flames Sports Network continues to recap the 2012 football season, FSN looks back at the Top 10 moments of the year, starting today with moment No. 10.

The first moment in the Top 10 series is John Lunsford's 50-yard field goal at Coastal Carolina on Oct. 27, the longest field goal for the freshman during his rookie season at Liberty.

Battling less than ideal playing conditions, as Hurricane Sandy continually dropped rain on the grass field at Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C., Lunsford knocked down a 50-yard field with ease during the first quarter of the game. Lunsford had missed the previous two Liberty games with an injury.

Lunsford finished the season ranked No. 2 in the Big South in field goals per game (0.89) and No. 3 in field goal percentage (66.7/8-of-12). He also ranks No. 3 in the Big South in scoring among kickers and No. 8 overall, as he scored 46 points during his first year with the Flames.

Lunsford was one of 13 Liberty players to earn All-Big South honors, as he was named to the second team.

Be sure to check back each weekday during the next two weeks, as the Flames Sports Network and LibertyFlames.com continue to reveal the Top 10 moments of the 2012 football season, leading up the reveal of the No. 1 moment on Dec. 28.
