Baseball Announces Captains

Bryan Aanderud, Trey Wimmer and Ryan Cordell have been named captains for the 2013 Liberty Baseball team.

Head coach Jim Toman has announced the team captains for the 2013 Liberty baseball team.  Three captains and three alternates were chosen by the players. 

Senior catcher Trey Wimmer, senior second baseman Bryan Aanderud and junior outfielder Ryan Cordell were voted captains. Senior third baseman Dalton Sype, sophomore first baseman Alex Close and junior pitcher Trey Lambert were selected as alternates.

"I think the players did an outstanding job selecting these young men to represent them," stated Toman. "I feel they will do a great job leading us throughout the 2013 season."

Liberty is scheduled to begin its 2013 campaign with a three-game series at South Carolina, Feb. 15-17. The following week, the Flames will open their new stadium with a three-game series against Penn State, Feb. 22-24.
