The Liberty volleyball team has arrived in Minnesota, and the Lady Flames are gearing up to compete against No. 8 seed Minnesota in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship. The Lady Flames take on the Golden Gophers on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time at the Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis, Minn.

On Wednesday, Nick Pierce of the Flames Sports Network stopped by practice. Pierce interviewed head coach Shane Pinder, along with junior Jade Craycraft, sophomore (and Minnesota native) Melissa Racz and redshirt freshman Caroline Douglas.

Liberty is making its seventh appearance in the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship, including its second in a row and fourth in the last six years. Last season, the Lady Flames met No. 8 seed Penn State in the first round, falling to the four-time defending national champions in three sets.

Fans can follow the match live on Friday night, as live stats, live audio and live video will all be available.
