2013-14 Liberty signee Ryan Kemrite

Head Liberty Men's Basketball Coach Dale Layer has announced the signing of Ryan Kemrite (G, 6-4, 165, Houston, Texas) to a national letter of intent for the 2013-14 academic year. Kemrite will make his way to the Hill City after playing four years in the Sports Association of Texas for Christian Homeschoolers (SATCH) program in Conroe, Texas.

"It is great to have Ryan part of our program," Layer stated. "He is a relentless worker and competitor. His work ethic will allow him to blend into the culture of our program immediately.  He can play multiple positions, can really stroke it from deep range and competes at both ends.  Ryan is a great fit for Liberty Basketball across the board in every way. I am happy he is a Flame."

A four-year varsity starter for the Mavericks, Kemrite averaged 24.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a junior. The 6-4 wing was honored by the National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championships (NCHBC) as a first team All-American following both his sophomore and junior campaign.  Kemrite is currently on pace to exceed 3,400 points in his high school career and leave the program as its all-time leader in scoring and rebounding.

During the past two summers, Kemrite played for Gulf Coast Blue Chips Elite. In July, Kemrite was selected as the Silver Bracket MVP at the Adidas SUPER 64 held in Las Vegas, Nev.  Currently, Kemrite is ranked 16th among the Class of 2013 in metro Houston by RCS Sports.
