The Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio call-in show spotlighting Liberty's football program, returns to the airwaves this evening at 7 p.m. The show is hosted weekly at Doc's Diner and features Flames Head Coach Turner Gill and a different member of his coaching staff each week.

For the third year in a row, the Flames Sports Hotline will air weekly on the Victory FM radio network (88.3 FM – Lynchburg, Roanoke, Danville), the flagship radio station for the Flames Sports Network.

The weekly show is hosted locally in Lynchburg on Liberty University's campus at Doc's Diner, and the restaurant is open to the student body and the general public. The show is broadcast live throughout the 50's-style diner and fans are encouraged to participate during the call-in segments.

Alan York, the radio "Voice of the Flames," hosts the call-in show, which will feature Gill along with head men's basketball coach Dale Layer and head women's basketball coach Carey Green.

With both basketball programs starting their 2012-13 campaigns this weekend, this week's Flames Sports Hotline will open with 15-minute segments featuring both Layer and Green.

The men's basketball team is slated to open its season on Friday at in-state opponent Richmond, while the women's basketball team will begin competition in the 2012 Preseason WNIT against Duquesne in Pittsburgh, Pa. Friday evening. Both games tip off at 7 p.m.

Following the opening segments with Layer and Green, York will welcome in Gill for the remainder of the hour-long show. The pair will look back at the Flames' 26-12 victory over Charleston Southern on Saturday and preview Liberty's Big South clash with No. 6/8 Stony Brook this Saturday at Williams Stadium.

Following the first few segments with Gill, York will open up the phone lines and field questions from the radio listening audience or those seated inside Doc's Diner. Fans unable to make it out to Doc's Diner each Monday night may call in at (877) 401-9041 to participate in the weekly show.

Those not able to participate in the call-in portion of the show can also email their questions for Gill to FSNbroadcast@liberty.edu, prior to the start of the show.

Flames fans can listen to the show locally by tuning their radio dials to Victory FM (88.3 FM Lynchburg) or one of their local affiliates for the Victory FM Radio Network. The show will also air live online at LibertyFlames.com and can be heard by clicking on the link above.
