Fans of the Liberty Lady Flames Women's Basketball team will get to know the players on this year's team a little better through a new series entitled "One-On-One With ...".  Today's installment features a question-and-answer session with junior forward Egle Smigelskaite.

What is your favorite sport to play, other than basketball?
Soccer or volleyball.

Why did you decide to attend Liberty?
I just wanted to come to the U.S. and play basketball and be able to attend college at the same time.

If you could eat dinner with three other people, who would they be and why?
Michael Jordan, Mother Teresa and Sandra Bullock.

Who is your favorite band?
Mmm ... The thing is that I like certain songs, but not a particular band. Mostly, Alicia Keys, Alliyah, etc. Anything, as long as it's not country.

Who was your favorite athlete while growing up and who is it now?
I used to admire Grant Hill. Right now I'm familiar with more sports and I really like Michael Ballack (from Germany's national soccer team), and Fabien Barthez (a goalie from France's national soccer team).

Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
Solomon.

What is one event in history that you wish you could've witnessed?
I am really not a history person but I would've liked to witness any of the Seven Greatest World Miracles. It would also be pretty amazing to see how Jesus was walking on the planet Earth and did all those miracles.

Who is the most famous person you've met?
Katie Feenstra.

What is your favorite food at the Liberty cafeteria?
I am off campus, praise the Lord.

Why did you choose your uniform number?
I came in the middle of the season and all other jerseys were taken. Oh well, I get to honor Big Mike [Jordan].

What is your biggest pet peeve and why?
I can't stand two-faced people, especially when they act one way in front of you and completely opposite behind your back. That includes gossiping too.

What website do you visit the most frequently?
Liberty.edu.

What is your favorite restaurant?
I usually go out to Applebee's or T.G.I. Friday's.

What is the first question you'll ask God when you get to Heaven?
"Why are you so good to me?"

What DVD do you wear out the most?
Believe it or not, I don't own a single DVD. I don't like watching movies over and over. However, if I had a chance I'd probably watch "Friends" more than once.

What is the best part about playing on the Liberty women's basketball team?
I get to glorify my Savior together with my wonderful teammates.

If you could play one-on-one with anyone, who would it be?
Grant Hill. To be more realistic, I'd like to play Clint Jackson from our cross country team, just because he's been talking a lot of trash about girls playing basketball.

What is your favorite store to shop at?
H&M, Charlotte Russe or any store that has cool shoes.

What is the last book you've read, outside of those required for class and the Bible?
My teammate Becca Lightfoot convinced me to read "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers. I have to admit, I don't regret a single minute spent with that book.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself still having a hard time trying to shop for very long pants.
