Liberty Men's Soccer to Host High Point
Unbeaten in their last five matches (4-0-1), the Liberty Flames men's soccer team will host the High Point Panthers for a key Big South match-up, Tuesday night at the East Campus Fields. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

A Look at Liberty
With a 1-1 tie at Winthrop on Saturday, Liberty (6-6-1, 4-1-1 Big South) extended its unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1). The draw finished a successful three-game road swing for the Flames, which saw them post a 2-0-1 mark.
Saturday, freshman forward Clyde Glastetter scored his first goal of the season in the tie.
Forward Kyle Breitmeyer leads Liberty with six goals and 13 points on the year. He enters the week tied for fourth with five other players in the conference in goals.
Defenders Sam Duininck and Greg White have each netted two goals apiece for the Flames. With his goal on Saturday, Glastetter joins Travis Joseph, Johnny Torres, Juan Niño and Uriah Bentick with one goal. Freshman defender Tim Harbison continues to lead the Flames with three assists.
Goalkeeper Scott Sutarik has seen the majority of the minutes in between the posts of the Liberty goal, logging over 942 minutes. The sophomore has posted a 1.34 goals-against average and a .731 save percentage. During the Flames' five-game unbeaten streak, Sutarik has posted a 0.76 goals-against average and two shutouts.
Head Coach Jeff Alder has led the Flames to a 114-85-20 record during his 12 seasons, capturing his 100th victory in a 2-0 win at No. 10 Virginia on Sept. 13, 2011. Alder's Flames posted an 11-6-3 record in 2011, en route to their second Big South Conference crown and fifth consecutive season with a double-digit win total.
All-Time Against High Point
Liberty and High Point will meet for the 26th time Tuesday. Liberty holds a slight edge in the all-time series between the two Big South foes, 11-10-4, which began in 1980.
Last season on the field turf in High Point, the Flames defeated the Panthers, 2-1, on Sept. 27. Current Liberty defender and team captain Sam Duininck scored during the 76th minute to give the Flames' the one-goal win.
Look at High Point
High Point (11-2-2, 4-1-2 Big South) completed its regular season home schedule with a scoreless tie against Radford, Saturday. The Panthers will finish the regular season with three road games.
Forward Mamadee Nyepon leads High Point with nine goals and 21 points. He is tied for third in the Big South in goals and fourth in points. Midfielder Shawn Sloan has a team-leading nine assists and compiled 19 points. He is second in the conference in assists.
Redshirt freshman Kody Palmer has started all 15 High Point contest in the Panther goal. He has recorded a 0.65 goals-against average and a .796 save percentage. He leads the Big South with eight shutouts.
Head coach Dustin Fonder has posted 59-44-12 during his six years at High Point. He was named Big South Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2010.
Finishing with Conference
Liberty is in the midst of seven consecutive Big South games to complete the 2012 regular season.
The Flames started the stretch on a high note with back-to-back wins at Presbyterian College and VMI and enter Tuesday's contest with a 4-1-1 conference record and 13 points.
Coastal Carolina tops the Big South standings with an 8-0 record and 24 points. Radford, who the Flames will visit on Oct. 30, is in second place with a 6-0-1 mark and 19 points.
