Gill Previews Non-Conference Matchup with Concord

Following the team's second victory of the year, the Flames will step out of Big South play for the last time this regular season when Liberty faces Concord on Saturday.

During today's 15-minute press conference, Flames head coach Turner Gill previewed Liberty's fifth meeting with the Mountain Lions. Liberty is 4-0 all-time against Concord, with the last meeting taking place in 2005 (17-6).

Both Concord and Liberty come into the matchup on two-game winning streaks. Concord has won three out of its last four games, including a 14-9 win on the road at Glenville State and a 29-26 comeback victory over Seton Hill at home.

The Flames have won their last two games, with both victories coming against Big South foes. The Flames scored 32 of the game's last 39 points to rally for a 42-35 win at home over Gardner-Webb, before convincing posting a 56-7 road victory over Presbyterian College.
