Allen Shares BSC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

Aldreakis Allen had a career day at Presbyterian College on Saturday and the junior was honored today when he was named Big South Co-Offensive Player of the Week by the league office earlier today.

Allen led the Flames to a 56-7 road win over the Blue Hose with his 13 rushing attempts for 183 yards and four touchdowns.

The running back has surpassed the 100-yard mark three times this season and seven times in his career.

Allen's previous career-high rushing mark came against PC last season, when the running back rushed 26 times for 131 yards. Allen's previous career high for rushing touchdowns was three, a mark he set against Charleston Southern in 2009.

On the year, Allen leads the Flames with 561 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Entering this weekend's game against Concord, Allen ranks No. 13 in the country in rushing offense, averaging 112.20 rushing yards per game.

Allen shared the Big South's top weekly offensive player honor with his counterpart at Stony Brook. The Seawolves Miguel Maysonet ran for 233 yards and two touchdowns to help Stony Brook fend off Coastal Carolina in a 27-21 road victory in Conway, S.C.

The Flames will step out of Big South Conference play for the final time during the regular season this weekend when the face Concord. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 3:30 p.m.
