A Look at Liberty
Liberty (4-6, 2-1 Big South) will enter Friday night's Big South match coming off of back-to-back 1-0 victories over conference rival Campbell, last Friday and American on Tuesday.  In both games, forward Kyle Breitmeyer netted the game-winning goals.
Strong defensive play keyed both of Liberty's victories. In their win over Campbell, goalkeeper Scott Sutarik made a career-high eight saves and the Flames recorded the first shutout of Campbell this season. Tuesday, the Flames did not allow a shot in the first half, en route to their third shutout of the year.
Breitmeyer leads Liberty with three goals and seven points on the year.  The forward has scored a goal in three out of the last four contests. Sam Duininck and Greg White have each netted two goals apiece for the Flames, while midfielder Juan Niño and Uriah Bentick have each scored a goal. Freshman defender Tim Harbison has assisted on three of the Flames' markers to lead the squad.
Goalkeeper Scott Sutarik has played in seven contests and logged over 648 minutes between the goal posts for Liberty. With back-to-back shutouts, he enters Friday evening's match with a 1.39 goals-against average and .744 save percentage.  Sutarik and the Flames have not allowed a goal during their last 207:40 of play.
Head Coach Jeff Alder has led the Flames to a 112-85-19 record during his 12 seasons, capturing his 100th victory in a 2-0 win at No. 10 Virginia last season. Alder's Flames posted an 11-6-3 record in 2011, en route to their second Big South Conference crown and fifth consecutive season with a double-digit win total.

All-Time Against Presbyterian College
Friday's match-up will be the fifth meeting between Liberty and Presbyterian on the soccer pitch. The teams began meeting when the Blue Hose joined the Big South in 2008.  The Flames have won all four previous matches between the two teams.
Last season, Liberty defeated Presbyterian College, 1-0, on Oct. 14 at Osborne Stadium.  Scott Sutarik made his collegiate debut as the Flames goalkeeper in the match and recorded the win, making one save.
The last time the two teams meet in Clinton, S.C., at Martin Field, Liberty scored the only second half goal, breaking a 1-1 tie, en route to a 2-1 victory on Oct. 15, 2010.

A Look at Presbyterian College
The Blue Hose (3-10, 2-3 Big South) will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak on Friday.  Presbyterian dropped a 2-0 decision to Winthrop at home in its last outing on Tuesday.
Midfielder Ignacio Monchetti leads the Blue Hose with three goals and seven points.  Midfielder Josh Carter is the only other PC player with more than one marker on the year, having netted two goals.
Junior Tyler Beadle has handled the goalkeeping duties for the Blue Hose. Beadle has posted a 2.35 goals-against average and a .732 save percentage this season.
Head coach Bret Boulware is in his 13th year at Presbyterian College, leading the Blue Hose program through its transition from Division II to the Division I level. The Presbyterian College alum has led his alma mater to an 82-110-19 record.

On the Defensive
After back-to-back shutouts, the Flames will enter Friday night's game not having allowed a goal over the last 207:40.  The span is the longest for Liberty this season.

Breitmeyer the Sequel
Not only have the Liberty Flames posted back-to-back 1-0 wins, but forward Kyle Breitmeyer has provided the game-winning goal in each contest.  In addition, Breitmeyer has scored in three of the last four Liberty contests to take over the team lead with three goals.

Finishing with Conference
Tuesday night's 1-0 victory over American was Liberty's final non-conference match of the year.  Liberty will complete the 2012 campaign with seven Big South contests, starting with Friday night's contest at Presbyterian College.
The Flames are 2-1, so far in conference play. Coastal Carolina and Radford top the Big South standings with 4-0 conference records.

A Look Ahead
The Flames next travel to Lexington, Va., for a contest at VMI, Tuesday.  The Big South Conference match at Patchin Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.
