CSN National All Star Weekly List - Oct. 8

Following a career performance against Gardner-Webb, Liberty quarterback Josh Woodrum was one of five players named to this week's College Sporting News (CSN) National All Star list.

Joining Woodrum on the CSN list were Sam Houston State QB Brian Bell, Tennessee State LB Nick Thrasher, Princeton DE Mike Catapano and Fordham LB Michael Martin.

Woodrum led the Flames to a 42-35 comeback victory over Gardner-Webb on Saturday, helping the Flames score 32 of the game's last 39 points to secure the Big South opening win.

Woodrum finished the game 25-of-31 for 373 yards and three touchdowns, marking his second 300-yard game this season.

The redshirt freshman's 373 passing yards ranked as the 12th highest single-game passing performance in program history.

Woodrum is the fourth player in program history to receive national player of the week recognition from the College Sporting News. Mike Brown, who was a four-time CSN National All Star list honoree, was the last Flame to be honored following his outing against Coastal Carolina in 2011.

Woodrum was named Big South Co-Offensive Player of the Week following the game, his second weekly honor this year from the conference office.

Woodrum and the Flames will face Presbyterian College on Saturday in Clinton, S.C., at Bailey Memorial Stadium. Kickoff for the Big South road game is set for 2 p.m.
