Head coach Shane Pinder leads the Liberty volleyball team as it prepares for three matches in a four-day span, starting with a 7 p.m. match at VCU on Wednesday.

As the Liberty volleyball team prepares for three matches in a four-day span, the Flames Sports Network's Nick Pierce caught up with head volleyball coach Shane Pinder.

Liberty (12-5) went 2-1 this past week, sweeping James Madison and Gardner-Webb before being edged, 3-2, at UNC Asheville on Saturday. The Lady Flames never trailed against James Madison, before hitting .376 in sweeping Gardner-Webb. Caroline Douglas registered 17 kills during each of the Lady Flames' three matches last week, and was named Big South Freshman of the Week on Monday.

The Lady Flames travel to Richmond, Va., tomorrow to take on VCU at 7 p.m. Liberty then returns home, where the team hosts Campbell at 7 p.m. on Friday before facing High Point at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
