Senior pitcher Matt Marsh was one of the Flames who participated in Scout Day, this past Thursday.

The Liberty baseball program hosted its annual Scout Day last Thursday at Worthington Stadium.  A total of 22 Major League scouts attended the event and watched the Flames run through a pro-style workout.  Players ran the 60-yard dash, fielded and threw from their respective positions, took live batting practice and threw 20-pitch bullpen sessions.

Liberty has had 10 players selected in the Major League Amateur Draft in the past two years.  In the 2012 Draft, Flames outfielder Ian Parmley (seveneth round) and pitchers John Niggli (ninth round), and Blake Forslund (15th round) were selected.

Liberty will play three intra-squad scrimmages this weekend at Worthington Stadium, which are open to the public.
