The Flames were on the short end of a 3-0 decision in a Big South Conference match with No. 18 Coastal Carolina this past Wednesday on the Campus East Fields.
The Flames enter Tuesday evening's contest having scored six goals on the year. Defenders and team captains Sam Duininck and Greg White have each scored two goals to lead Liberty. Midfielder Juan Niño and defender Uriah Bentick have also netted goals for Liberty. Freshman midfielder Tim Harbison has assisted on three of the Flames' markers to lead the squad.

Meanwhile, Sutarik has registered a 1.67 goals-against average and recorded a shutout at Longwood on Sept. 1.
Head Coach Jeff Alder has led the Flames to a 110-83-19 record during his 12 seasons, capturing his 100th victory in a 2-0 win at No. 10 Virginia last season. Alder's Flames posted an 11-6-3 record in 2011, en route to their second Big South Conference crown and fifth consecutive season with a double-digit win total.
All-Time Against Richmond
Tuesday evening's meeting will be the 14th meeting between Liberty and Richmond on the soccer pitch. The two programs have not met since 1993. Liberty leads the all-time series, 6-5-2. In their last meeting, the Flames defeated the Spiders, 2-1, at Richmond on Sept. 15, 1993.
A Look at Richmond
Coming off back-to-back wins over Big South members Longwood and VMI last week, the Spiders will enter Tuesday's game with a 3-5 record. Richmond snapped a five-game losing streak on last Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Longwood, before defeating VMI, 2-0, Friday.
Senior midfielder Houston Oldam leads the Spiders with seven points and three goals. He is the only Spider to score more than one goal so far in 2012.
Chris Grover and Thomas Hand have split the duties as the Richmond goalkeeper this season. Grover has logged just over 304 minutes, posting a 2.07 goals-against average. Hand has played over 415 minutes in goal for the Spiders, recording a 1.30 goals-against average.
Interim head coach Leigh Cowlishaw is in his first year of leading his alma mater, Richmond. Cowlishaw is also the current head coach of the professional Richmond Kickers.
65 and Counting
Senior defender Greg White will start his 65th consecutive match, Tuesday. The defender and two-time Liberty team captain has started every game of his Flames career. White started in his 64th consecutive match, last Wednesday.
The defender has been a regular starter in each game during the past three seasons (2009-11), with his streak starting on Sept. 1, 2009 in a 10-1 Liberty victory over Concord. Last season, he played every minute in each of Liberty's contests for the Flames.
Liberty will next square off against the Wofford Terriers, Saturday afternoon at the Campus East Fields. The non-conference game is scheduled for Noon.
