Lehigh Preview:
• All-Time Series Record: Lehigh leads, 2-0
• Last Meeting: Lehigh won 27-24 in Bethlehem, Pa., on Sept. 24, 2011
• Last Meeting at Home: Lehigh won 34-16 on Sept. 18, 2004
• Last year's meeting between gainst No. 23 Liberty and No. 15/16 Lehigh was an offensive shootout, with both teams recording more than 400 total offensive yards in the game (Liberty: 404; Lehigh: 424)
• The contest featured two of the country's top quarterbacks in Mike Brown (297 passing yards, 25-of-38) and Chris Lum (300 passing yards, 18-of-38), both of whom were up for the Walter Payton Award in 2011
• Alex Kacere's 54-yard field goal attempt fell just short into the end zone as time expired as the Flames tried to mount one final drive to send the game into overtime

Season Opening Notes:
• This year marks the first time the Flames have opened a season 0-3 since 2003
• The Flames have started a season 0-4 twice in program history (1981 and 1982)
• In 1982, Liberty picked up its first victory during the fifth game of the season against Central State (Ohio), which started a seven-game winning streak to cap off a 7-4 year
• In 1981, the Flames lost their first nine games of the season before preventing a winless season with a 42-23 victory over Evangel in the season finale to finish the year 1-9

Liberty versus Ranked Opponents:
• Following the 34-14 loss to No. 14/12 Montana, Liberty is now 11-45 all-time against nationally ranked opponents
• Liberty has now dropped six of its last seven match ups against nationally ranked teams
• This week, the Flames will take on 3-0 Lehigh, who came into last weekend ranked No. 16 by the Sports Network and No. 13 in the FCS Coaches poll
• Liberty has previously faced three nationally ranked teams once in a row in program history, dropping all three during the 1993 season (L/ 30-38 to No. 9 North Carolina A&T, L/ 13-35 to No. 3 Troy State and L/ 0-42 to No. 4 Youngstown State)

Hall of Fame Weekend:
• On Friday night, Liberty inducted five new members into is Athletics Hall of Fame
• Liberty's 2012 Athletics Hall of Fame class included: Jesse Castro (wrestling), Mark Chafin (men's basketball), John Sanders (football), Sharon Sondgrass (women's basketball) and Ryan Werner (men's track & field)
• This was Liberty's fourth Athletics Hall of Fame class, bringing the HOF's total of inductees to 22

Storylines for the Lehigh Game:
• The Flames will be looking to snap a four-game losing streak (dating back to 2011), the program's longest losing streak since dropping four straight in 2006
• The Flames will be looking to give head coach Turner Gill his first victory at Liberty
• Liberty will be looking to head into its annual bye week with a victory, as the Flames will have next weekend off before beginning Big South play against Gardner-Webb on Oct. 6
