Jennifer Klugh earned the ECAC Division I Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor by virtue of her sixth-place finish at Saturday's Winthrop/Adidas Invitational.

Thanks to an impressive senior season debut at Saturday's Winthrop/Adidas Invitational, Liberty's Jennifer Klugh has been named the ECAC Division I Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Klugh made a strong charge through the field during the final mile of the women's 5K race, ending up in sixth place out of 251 runners and first among the Lady Flames, in a time of 18:23.65. The Buckeye State native's effort helped Liberty post a runner-up finish in the field of 31 women's squads, 98 points ahead of its nearest Big South Conference competitor.

Klugh and the Lady Flames, now ranked No. 15 in the Southeast Region, will take this weekend off from competition. Liberty's next meet will be the Notre Dame Invitational, slated for Sept. 28 at the Notre Dame Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind.
