Head Coach Turner Gill has promoted Aaron Stamn to the position of Offensive Coordinator and offensive play caller.

Liberty Head Football Coach Turner Gill has promoted Aaron Stamn to Offensive Coordinator following the Norfolk State game and named Dennis Wagner Co-Offensive Coordinator.

Stamn will also take over as Liberty's offensive play caller, a role that had previously been filled by Gill himself.

"I have promoted Aaron Stamn to Offensive Coordinator and play caller," stated Gill. "Dennis Wagner will now serve as Co-Offensive Coordinator. This staffing adjustment is due to the outstanding job Coach Stamn did during the Norfolk State game. This move is what is best for our football program, allowing us to strive for conference and national championships."

Both Stamn and Wagner are currently in their first seasons at Liberty. Stamn has been a part of Gill's coaching staffs for seven seasons, including two at Kansas (2010-11) and four at Buffalo (2006-09).

Wagner is in his first season as a part of a Gill coaching staff. He came to Liberty after serving as the head coach at Western Carolina for the past four years (2008-11).

The Flames will continue their three-game stretch against Top 25 ranked FCS programs on Saturday when Liberty travels to Missoula, Mont., to face No. 14/12 Montana.

Kickoff at Washington-Grizzly Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. (EST) and the game will be carried on radio and television by the Flames Sports Network.
