Venue Change Announced for September Soccer Matches

Due to renovations to the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex at Osborne Stadium, the Liberty Athletics department has announced the need to move several soccer matches during the month of September to the Campus East Athletics Fields.

The games will be free of charge to the public, with no changes to their start times. Currently, the following contests are slated to be played at Campus East
 

      Sept. 7          Women's Soccer vs. Pittsburgh                              7 p.m.

      Sept. 14        Women's Soccer vs. George Washington              7 p.m.

      Sept. 16        Women's Soccer vs. South Carolina State             2 p.m.

      Sept. 19        Men's Soccer vs. Coastal Carolina                         4 p.m.

      Sept. 20        Women's Soccer vs. Presbyterian College             7 p.m.

      Sept. 22        Women's Soccer vs. UNC Asheville                       2 p.m
 

The Liberty men's and women's soccer teams are both in action this weekend.  The Lady Flames travel to Washington, D. C., Friday afternoon for a 4 p.m. match at American.  They will then square off with the Old Dominion Monarchs on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Norfolk, Va.

The defending Big South champion Liberty men's soccer team will open defense of its 2011 conference title on Saturday by traveling up Route 460 for a meeting with new Big South member Longwood in Farmville, Va.  Match time at the Longwood Athletics Complex is scheduled for 7 p.m.
