Liberty goalkeeper Brooke Morley and midfielder Abbey Basom each garnered NorPac weekly honors, as announced Monday. Morley was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the conference's Eastern Division while Basom was selected as the division's Co-Rookie of the Week, sharing the honor with Stacey Mackintosh of Radford.

Morley recorded her first collegiate victory as well as her first shutout in Sunday's 1-0 win over Lehigh. The sophomore turned away 13 shots in the contest to help lead the Lady Flames to their first win of the season as well as their first win against a Division I opponent in program history. In Friday's game at Saint Joseph's, Morley finished with four saves in her first collegiate start.

Basom scored the first goal of the season for Liberty as well as her first career goal on Friday. The goal came in the second half, as Basom was able to find the back of the cage on a long shot from the top of the circle. The freshman finished the contest with three shots. At Lehigh, Basom recorded one more shot to finish the weekend with four.

The Lady Flames (1-1) return to action this weekend with a pair of home games. On Saturday, Liberty welcomes Georgetown to Lynchburg for its home opener at 1 p.m., followed by a Sunday matchup with in-state opponent William & Mary at 2 p.m.
