Just like the football program has spent the month of August getting ready for the 2012 season, the radio portion of the Flames Sports Network has been gearing up for the upcoming year all summer long.

Throughout the 2012-13 school year, Liberty athletics fans will be able to catch all the action on the Flames Sports Network (FSN). FSN is comprised of Liberty's radio and television network that has covered Flames' athletics since its inception in 1981.

The flagship radio station for Liberty athletics is 88.3 FM in Lynchburg, Va. The 50,000-watt station is part of the Victory FM radio network which includes 32 affiliates that cover the Commonwealth of Virginia and much of the state of North Carolina.

The Flames Sports Network includes radio coverage of Liberty football and men's basketball games on 88.3 FM, while 90.9 FM WWMC in Lynchburg provides significant radio coverage for Liberty women's basketball, baseball and softball. Alan York returns for his third season calling radio play-by-play of Liberty football and men's basketball. Nick Pierce handles radio play-by-play duties for Liberty baseball, while Jamie Hall broadcasts Liberty women's basketball.

York, the "Voice of the Flames," will be joined in the football broadcast booth by FSN radio and TV veteran Paul Rutigliano, who will add his personal insight as the color commentator. Chris Wygal returns for his 10th season as broadcast engineer and on-site game day producer for the Flames Sports Network.

The Flames pregame show, which goes on the air live 90 minutes before kickoff, will be hosted by Pierce and Hall, plus network newcomer Matt Camire. Camire will provide the pregame show with a unique viewpoint as he is just two years removed from battling up front as a starting member of the Flames' offensive line.

New network affiliates are added to the FSN listing almost daily, and Flame fans are encouraged to check out the Flames Sports Network radio affiliates page frequently.
