Liberty Athletics will hold its inaugural Flames Fan Fest on Aug. 18, giving fans a chance to watch Liberty scrimmage and have a meet-and-greet with the players, first-year head football coach Turner Gill and his coaching staff.

Liberty will wrap up its August training camp on Aug. 18 with a one-hour scrimmage, starting at 7 p.m. inside of Williams Stadium. The scrimmage will be the first open practice of training camp for the Flames to the general public.

Following the scrimmage, Liberty Athletics will hold an autograph and photo session in the concourse underneath the Williams Stadium Tower. Gill and his staff will be available for autographs and photos directly following the scrimmage, followed shortly by the players. The meet-and-greet session will run for approximately an hour.

As the evening starts to wind down, fans will be granted access to the field where they will have the opportunity to run out of the Liberty Flames tunnel, simulating the team's entrance each home game.
Liberty University Student Activities will follow the meet-and-greet with a double feature movie presentation on the Williams Stadium video board. Fans and Liberty students will be allowed to enjoy the movie presentation from the field the rest of the evening.

The event will be sponsored by the Flames Club. The Flames Club will provide throw blankets to all in attendance who sign up for Flames Club membership and purchase season tickets that evening. The Flames Club will also distribute Liberty Flames car flags to all in attendance, while supplies last.

Throughout the evening, Liberty Dining/Sodexo will have concession stands open for business and will provide a special concessions package for $3. Members of the Flames Club, Student Flames Club and Flames Kids Club can pick-up a free voucher for the concession combo package.

In addition, the Flames Sports Network will provide a live post scrimmage broadcast from the concourse from 8 to 9 p.m.
