2012 USTFCCCA Division I Women's All-Academic Track & Field Teams

The Liberty women's track & field team has been recognized as a 2012 Division I All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), thanks to the Lady Flames' proficiency in the classroom.

Head coach Brant Tolsma's team boasted a 3.23 cumulative GPA, making the Lady Flames one of 171 NCAA Division I women's squads nationally to earn All-Academic recognition. All teams with a 3.00 GPA or higher were eligible for the award.

Some of Liberty's academic standouts on the year included Mychelle Cumings, Jennifer Klugh, Olivia Charnuski and Rachel Houseknecht. Cumings and Klugh both made the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Charnuski and Houseknecht earned Big South All-Academic recognition during the year.

Liberty also excelled on the track and in the field during the 2011-12 campaign. The Lady Flames captured their third straight Big South indoor title and finished second at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
