Following last night's NCAA Men's Golf Regional Selection Show, Flames Sports Network reporter Nick Pierce had a chance to talk with Liberty head coach Jeff Thomas and golfers Chase Marinell and Robert Karlsson.

Liberty learned last night that it will be heading to the Greensboro Regional next week, where it will compete at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C., on May 17-19.

The top five teams from the 14-team field will advance to the NCAA Men's Golf National Championship at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., May 29 – June 3.

Last month, Liberty automatically qualified for the NCAA Men's Golf Regionals by winning its second Big South title in a row with a conference record-setting score of 20-under par 844.

This will mark the second regional showing for Marinell, last year's Big South Rookie of the Year, and the fourth for Karlsson. The two-time Big South Golfer of the Year, Karlsson earned individual invitations to the NCAA Regionals as a freshman and sophomore and guided Liberty to the Big South title and automatic bid, last season.
