The Liberty women's soccer team is taking its talents south of the United States. Six players along with members of the coaching staff and a pair of alumni are heading to Mexico for a missions trip, May 13-26. The group will be based in the city of Ometepec (located in the Mexican state of Guerrero) during its stay, where it will host soccer camps and clinics, teach English to local children and participate in a variety of outreach opportunities.

Recently, Flames Sports Network reporter Nick Pierce had a chance to discuss the trip with head coach Jessica Hain, assistant coach Laura Armstrong and players Megan Warner and Jenna Fraser. The players and coaches provide insight about the trip and share some of their previous experiences with missions as they prepare their hearts and minds for their journey to Mexico.

Be sure to check back with LibertyFlames.com for updates during the team's two-week stay in Mexico as well as a post trip wrap-up.
