Those unable to attend Liberty's annual spring football game on Saturday will have multiple audio and video feeds available to them to catch a glimpse of head coach Turner Gill's squad on the turf at Williams Stadium.
The Flames Sports Network will be providing a full radio broadcast of the day, including a pregame show that is slated to begin at 12:30 p.m. Radio coverage for the intrasquad scrimmage can be heard live on Liberty's statewide Victory FM radio network that blankets most of Virginia and portions of the state of North Carolina.
The Flames Sports Network will also be providing a video stream of the afternoon event via the Big South Network and on the Liberty Flames Athletics Facebook page.
Just like Liberty Athletics did for the "Evening with Turner Gill" event on national signing day, the Big South Network and Facebook feeds will be free of charge.
In order to view the Facebook live stream, Flames fans will need to log onto the Liberty Flames Athletics Facebook page and click on the specially designated "Liberty Live" event tab. The event tab will be available on Saturday morning and the video stream is slated to go live at 1 p.m. (EST).
The scrimmage will give Liberty Flames fans their first look at Gill's team and a preview of what is to come for the upcoming 2012 season.
The event will feature two 12-minute quarters during the first half, which will be run almost like a normal game situation. The only exception to the "normal" game format will be in the kicking game. No live "in-game" kickoffs or punts will take place, with field goals being the only "in game" kicking situations.
Following halftime, during which Liberty will honor its 2011 graduating seniors and name this year's recipients of the Samkon Gado and Luke 2:52 award winners, Liberty will have one 25-minute running clock period to wind down the day's scrimmage.
As a reminder, Liberty's annual spring football game is free of charge and gates at Williams Stadium are slated to open at Noon.
