As both the Liberty men's and women's tennis teams prepare to set off for the 2012 Big South Tennis Championships, the Flames Sports Network's Alan York had a chance to talk with head coach Chris Johnson.

Johnson recaps the last few weeks of the season for both the men's and women's programs, while also looking ahead to the conference tournaments, which begin this Thursday, April 19 in Asheville, N.C.

Liberty's men's team concluded the 2012 regular season with a 15-7 record, going 3-4 in Big South play to take the No. 6 seed in the Championships.  The Flames will face No. 3 Coastal Carolina on Thursday, no earlier than 3:30 p.m.

The Lady Flames won seven of their final eight matches of 2012, to finish at 11-11 overall and 4-4 in conference action.  Liberty's women have also earned the No. 6 seed and will take on No. 3 Coastal Carolina, as well.  With the Championships being played at two separate locations in Asheville, the Lady Flames are also slated to have their first round match begin no earlier than 3:30 p.m.
