Robyn Busha scored three goals to lead UNC Asheville to a 4-1 Big South Conference victory over the Liberty Lady Flames in women's soccer college action at Greenwood Field Monday afternoon.

The Bulldogs also got a goal and an assist from leading scorer Hilary McKay. It was McKay's 19th career assist and makes her the all- time career assist leader at UNC Asheville.

Busha scored the Bulldogs final three goals to lift UNC Asheville to its third straight win.

Asheville took charge of the game early as the Bulldogs scored twice in the first 20 minutes of the match.  McKay scored her 10th goal of the season off a pass from Sara Marie Holland at the 15:20 mark for a 1-0 UNCA lead.

Holland fed Busha at the 20:02 mark to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.

Down 2-0, Liberty settled down and came close to scoring several times at the end of the first half and had more chances in the second half, before breaking through to cut the lead to 2-1.  Tanya Payne (So., D, Prescott, Ariz.) scored at the 71:10 mark on a 25-yard blast for her third goal of the season.

But Busha would seal the game three minutes later. She took a pass from McKay to score at the 74:50 mark to push the lead to 3-1. The freshman forward earned her first career hat-trick when she headed in a pass from Sara Pahl at the 89:45 mark.

With their first conference loss, Liberty falls to 5-4-2 overall and 2-1-0 in the Big South, while UNC Asheville moves to 7-3-0 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

The Lady Flames had their three-game winning streak snapped.

Liberty next heads to High Point, N.C., Thursday night, to square off in a Big South Conference match with the High Point Panthers.  Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
