Following a few days away from the practice field, Flames Sports Network reporter Alan York had a chance to catch up with Liberty's wide receivers coach Juan Taylor and one of his newcomers, Dante Shells.

Taylor takes over a position that is looking to fill a void left by All-America wide receiver Chris Summers, who finished up his career as Liberty's all-time leader in career receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns in 2011.

The leading candidate looking to take over that leadership role is rising senior Pat Kelly, who finished last year second on the team with a career-best 591 receiving yards and seven touchdown receptions.

Shells enrolled at Liberty last fall and the "grey shirt" officially joined the roster this spring. The 6-2, 170-pound wide receiver comes to Liberty from Camden, Del. He was a two-year starter at Caesar Rodney High School, where he finished his senior year with 43 receptions, 1,264 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns.
