Liberty Athletics Marketing recently received recognition for one of its 2011-12 basketball promotional items. Entered in the Higher Education Marketing Report's 27th Annual Educational Advertising Awards, Liberty's men's basketball poster garnered top honors.

Competing against other colleges and universities from around the country, the poster was one of 18 promotional pieces selected best in show, earning a gold award in its respective category.

Designed by Brian Wallace of Liberty's Office of Promotional Publications, the 2011-12 men's basketball poster features senior guards Jesse Sanders, David Minaya and John Brown, as well as junior forward Antwan Burrus and redshirt sophomore center Joel Vander Pol.

The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,900 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

Eighteen institutions were recognized by the judges as a "Best of Show" winner. Gold awards were granted to 201 institutions and silver awards were awarded to 180 institutions.

Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.

Higher Education Marketing Report has been the nation's leading marketing publication for higher education professionals for 26 years. The monthly publication is in its 27th year and is read each month by thousands of marketers at colleges and universities throughout the country.
