Today's Game
No. 1 seed Liberty will square off with No. 2 seed High Point in Sunday's title game of the 2012 Big South Women's Basketball Championship. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. inside High Point's Millis Center, as both teams will be battling for the Big South's automatic berth into the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship.

Matchup Notes
-- Liberty Head Coach Carey Green is now 309-102 in his 13th season with the Lady Flames, including 26-7 against High Point.

-- High Point Head Coach Jennifer Hoover is now 20-11 in her first season with the Panthers, including 1-1 against Liberty.

-- Liberty is 30-10 all-time against High Point, including 7-0 in the Big South Championship and 1-1 this season.

-- The Lady Flames have eliminated High Point from the Big South Championship in the semifinals each of the past two seasons at the Millis Center. The two Liberty victories came by nearly identical scores, including a 73-55 win in 2010 and a 76-55 triumph a year ago.

-- Avery Warley played a key role in last year's semifinal win over High Point, scoring a career-high 28 points, pulling down 13 rebounds and blocking four shots. During the game, she went over the 1,000-point mark for her career.

-- Liberty and High Point have squared off in the Big South Championship title game twice, in 2003 and 2006. The Lady Flames notched an 84-71 victory in 2003 and a 53-50 triumph in 2006. The 2006 championship was the 10th in a row for Liberty.

-- The Lady Flames led for 69:46 during the two games, as compared with 8:41 for High Point.

-- On Jan. 7 at the Vines Center, High Point spoiled Liberty's Big South home opener with a 73-69 overtime triumph.

-- The Lady Flames led by nine points with 6:26 remaining, before Erin Reynolds led the Panthers' comeback. She scored 13 of her 21 points during the final three minutes of regulation and overtime, including a banked-in three-pointer with 16.5 seconds left in regulation which forced the extra session.

-- Avery Warley and Devon Brown scored 19 points apiece for Liberty, while Warley added 16 rebounds.

-- On Feb. 6 at the Millis Center, Liberty claimed the Big South lead with a 73-65 triumph.

-- The Lady Flames' bench was key in that contest. Led by 10 points apiece from LaKendra Washington and Catherine Kearney, Liberty's reserves outscored their counterparts from High Point, 26-7.

Big South Championship Notes
-- Liberty has reached the Big South Championship final for the fifth straight year and the 15th time in the last 16 seasons.

-- The Lady Flames are 13-1 all-time in the Big South final, with their lone loss coming last year to Gardner-Webb.

-- Liberty's last five visits to the Big South Championship title game (2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011) have been decided by a total of eight points. The stretch started with a 53-50 win over High Point in the 2006 championship tilt.

-- Liberty is 40-1 all-time in the Big South Championship when favored according to seed.

-- Liberty is 13-2 at the Millis Center since the start of the 2008-09 season, including 10-1 in the Big South Championship and 5-1 against High Point.

-- Either Liberty or Radford has played in the Big South Championship title game all 26 times it has been contested.

A Look Back at Saturday's Win over Charleston Southern
-- There were 10 ties and 12 lead changes before Liberty broke the game open with a 21-2 second-half run, on its way to a 72-52 win over Charleston Southern.

-- The Lady Flames have now won six straight games overall.

-- Liberty, which leads the nation in rebound margin, outrebounded CSU by a 55-29 count. The rebounding number included 30 offensive caroms, which led to 33 second-chance points.

-- In Liberty's two Big South Championship games, the Lady Flames have grabbed 53 offensive boards, leading to 53 second-chance points.

-- Liberty's rebound margin for the tournament is now +24/game (103-55 total).

-- Liberty has now outrebounded nine straight opponents and 57 of its last 58, dating back to last season. The only team to win the rebounding battle against the Lady Flames in 2011-12 was High Point on Feb. 6, by a 37-36 margin.

-- The Lady Flames held Charleston Southern to 32.2 percent (19-of-59) field goal shooting. Liberty, which ranks No. 8 nationally for field goal percentage defense, has now held 53 straight opponents below 50 percent from the field.

-- The Lady Flames tallied 40 points in the paint to the Lady Buccaneers' 14. No Big South opponent has outscored Liberty in the paint this season.

-- Liberty's aggressive defense came up with 15 steals, the team's most against a conference opponent this season. That led to 20 points off of CSU turnovers.

-- The Lady Flames blocked nine shots, with six players recording at least one rejection. Liberty has turned away 16 shots through the first two Big South Championship games.

-- If she plays 19 or more minutes on Sunday, Miller will break Stacey White's program record of 1,032 minutes played in a season, set in 1989-90.

-- On Saturday, Warley tied the Big South Championship single-game record and broke the semifinal record with 22 rebounds.

-- She also joined former Lady Flame Wendy Johnson as the only players ever to notch a 20-point, 20-rebound game in the Big South Championship. It was the first 20-20 game of Warley's career.
