Tracking Liberty
• Liberty has hit .351 as a team over its fi ve games this season.
Michael Robertson has opened the year, hitting .500. He is one of three Flames who have had a hit in
each of Liberty's fi ve games.
• With their win Wednesday, the Flames have won 13 straight home openers. Liberty has not lost it home
opener since 1998.
• In Wednesday's 6-3 victory over Radford, Liberty was outhit for the fi rst time in a contest, 10-8.
• Radford was the fi rst to score, Wednesday. It was the fi rst game this season that Liberty has not plated
the fi rst run of a contest this season
• Liberty opened the season with back-to-back shutouts. It is the fi rst time in the program's 38-year history
the Flames have opened a season with two shutouits.
• The back-to-back shutouts were the fi rst by the Flames since March 1996. Liberty blanked Delaware St.
twice at the North Florida Tournament by the identical score of 5-0.
• The Flames began the year by not allowing a run for 23 consecutive innings. It is the longest such streak in program history.
