The Liberty women's swimming team earned the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team award.

Official Release

The Liberty women's swimming team has received Scholar All-America Team mention from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for academic success attained during the Fall 2011 semester.

The CSCAA announced Scholar All-America Team Awards, which were earned by over 500 college and university teams. In order to qualify for the award, a team must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the Fall 2011 semester.

The Lady Flames recorded a 3.06 team GPA last semester, and are one of six Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association teams to be named a Scholar All-America Team recipient.

In March, the CSCAA will announce the individual Scholar All-American award winners. This award will be given to each swimmer who earns an NCAA B cut and registers a 3.5 GPA or better.
