As the Liberty women's basketball team prepares for a season-ending three-game homestand, Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Carey Green.

Liberty is coming off of a 1-1 road trip, losing a 71-69 decision to Winthrop on Saturday and posting a 69-64 victory at Presbyterian College on Monday.

The Lady Flames are now 18-8 overall and 13-2 in Big South Conference play. Liberty owns a three and a half game lead in the conference standings and can clinch the No. 1 seed for the Big South Women's Basketball Championship with its next victory.

Liberty will return to action Saturday at 4 p.m., when defending Big South champion Gardner-Webb visits the Vines Center. The game will mark Senior Day for the Lady Flames, and the duo of Danika Dale and Avery Warley will be honored prior to tipoff.

The Lady Flames will also play host to UNC Asheville Monday at 7 p.m. and Radford March 2 at 7 p.m. to close out their regular-season schedule.
